Alpha 4.0.2: Supply or Die — Pyro's First Faction War
The Supply or Die event drops players into a PvPvE faction conflict in Pyro, with new depot locations, mission types, and exclusive rewards.

Patch Overview
Alpha 4.0.2 went LIVE on February 28, 2025, bringing Pyro’s first major live event: Supply or Die. This PvPvE faction event pits two groups — the Citizens for Prosperity and the Headhunters — against each other in a resource war centered around the strategic commodity detatrine.
Beyond the event, 4.0.2 delivers critical stability and connectivity improvements that address many of the launch-window issues from 4.0.
Supply or Die Event
Players choose a faction and complete missions to earn reputation and rewards:
Mission Types
| Mission | Description |
|---|---|
| Supply Runs | Purchase and deliver materials to your faction’s depots |
| Mining & Refining | Mine, refine, and supply raw resources |
| Salvage Operations | Salvage derelict ships and recover valuable components |
New Content
- Six new depot locations across Pyro
- Detatrine — a new commodity central to the faction conflict
- Exclusive rewards: Ravager-212 “Outcast” Twin Shotgun, faction furniture, and Outcast ship skins
The PvPvE Dynamic
Both factions share the same depot locations, meaning encounters with hostile players are inevitable. Supply convoys need protection, and solo haulers are easy pickings. This is exactly the kind of content that rewards organized play.
Stability Improvements
The less glamorous but equally important half of 4.0.2:
- Major connectivity fixes for server meshing transitions
- Reduced frequency of 30K disconnects during jump point transit
- Improved desync in high-player-count areas around Ruin Station
- Multiple top-reported gameplay bug fixes
CDYN Division Impact
Logistics: This is our time to shine. Supply runs need coordination, route planning, and fuel management. Convoy ops should be organized through Discord.
Security: Every convoy needs escorts. Depot locations are contested zones — expect hostile contact.
Mining: The mining and refining missions play directly into our Mining division’s operations. Coordinate with Logistics for delivery.
Salvage: Our Salvaging division has new mission content purpose-built for their skill set.
Supply or Die isn’t just an event — it’s a proof of concept for the kind of org-level gameplay CDYN was built for. Get in there.
